Additional Program Logistics/FAQs:

  • How will the pairings be made?
    • Pairings should be from outside of new employee’s immediate team, and preferably from outside of their division
    • Efforts will be made to pair new employees with a peer guide at the same or similar job level
    • If possible, we may look to pair complementary personalities or those with similar interests, but this is not the focus of the peer pairings.
  • Who should apply to become a peer guide?
    • All types of employees, regardless of experience should be represented in the program and we encourage junior-level staff through directors to apply.
  • What is the Hiring Manager role in this?
    • Hiring managers will participate in a short conversation with a Peer Onboarding work group member or HR representative to get more details in order for the team to make a match with a peer guide.
  • What’s the benefit for the Peer Guide
    • Volunteer Peer Guides should include their involvement in this program as an Engagement Goal for ACHIEVE check-ins. They also have the opportunity to get a perspective from outside the organization on their work that provides depth and diversity to their experience.
